Me ha gustado， está muy entretenido y la relación que tienen Jasmine e Ivan es preciosa aunque al principio parezca un poco "os estáis pasando tres pueblos， ¿no creéis？"。 Pero le sobran páginas a tutiplén， se quedan tramas sin cerrar， la relación romántica como tal se me quedó un poco corta， lo de la invasión a la privacidad de uno y de otra también tiene tela， que no saliera el personaje de Karina salvo como menciones esporádicas teniendo en cuenta lo importante que se suponía que era para Jasm Me ha gustado， está muy entretenido y la relación que tienen Jasmine e Ivan es preciosa aunque al principio parezca un poco "os estáis pasando tres pueblos， ¿no creéis？"。 Pero le sobran páginas a tutiplén， se quedan tramas sin cerrar， la relación romántica como tal se me quedó un poco corta， lo de la invasión a la privacidad de uno y de otra también tiene tela， que no saliera el personaje de Karina salvo como menciones esporádicas teniendo en cuenta lo importante que se suponía que era para Jasmine me pareció cosa fea， y lo de la anaconda ya me terminó de rematar。Y los condones。 Qué problema hay con el uso de condones en este tipo de novelas。 Es que no。 Corta más el rollo en la escena sexual la mencioncita de la anaconda que el que el hombre se detenga un momento a ponerse el condón。 En serio。 Ugh。Pero el resto， bien。 Además， la familia de Jasmine es maravillosa， y se agradece mucho la diversidad en ella y las dinámicas entre unos y otros。 。。。more

🌟🌟。5 starsIt's a 50/50 one。 Or 60/40。 Whatever。 Both the characters， Ivan and Jasmine were very real。 They're athletes and they were exactly portrayed as one。 The family situation she drew were also very realistic and the insecurities and fears Jasmine had were just 3D。 My problem with this book is not with the characters but with the story telling。 In the beginning， when things were slowly progressing， I didn't mind the wordy beginning。 What irked me was Jasmine's internal monologue。 She was 26 🌟🌟。5 starsIt's a 50/50 one。 Or 60/40。 Whatever。 Both the characters， Ivan and Jasmine were very real。 They're athletes and they were exactly portrayed as one。 The family situation she drew were also very realistic and the insecurities and fears Jasmine had were just 3D。 My problem with this book is not with the characters but with the story telling。 In the beginning， when things were slowly progressing， I didn't mind the wordy beginning。 What irked me was Jasmine's internal monologue。 She was 26 years old。 Yet when she was asked why she hated Ivan she came up with the most juvenile ones as possible。 Why she's always cursing him？ Because she hadn't gotten over incidents and bickerings that happened when they were high schoolers。 Tell me if that isn't silly or childish。Now comes my personal favorite， blinking。 BLINKING。 B。L。I。N。K。I。N。G。I blinkedIvan blinkedAnd then he blinked some moreHe blinked slow and steadyYou'd think this BLACKPINK fangirling happens in just a few paragraphs。 But nah， she got us with the "DDU DU DDU DU" cause it's EVERYWHERE and that's why it feels very overdone。It felt like every time the author wanted to create an impact scenario， she made the characters blink， curse profusely and made them do unnecessary stuffs。 It was rather making a disappointing impact than a powerful one。 In one scene （view spoiler）[Jasmine spits out her food in a kitchen towel or tissue when she hears that her mom got in an accident and didn't call her。 While I do understand the situation， I don't understand why she'd need to spit her food out？ Just swallow even if eating the whole meal is tough right now cause the food is already in your mouth？ （hide spoiler）] She also overdid it with curses。 I don't mind cursing in books but when it's a lot it just is a LOT。The romance in the book is good。 But more than the romance， the friendship was showcased more。 Their friendship was beautiful。 Ivan understood her in ways not even some of her family did。 He showed up for her every time and has been her BESTTTT FRIENDDD。 While developing this friendship， romance part developed along the lines of epilogue and last edge of the book but that's ok。 Love without great friendship is。。。。。。。。。。。。well it is something， but I like it with friendship。It's an okaaaay one。 。。。more

I really really love Zapata when I’m in the mood for a slow burn。 She’s great at telling stories with full characters and making you believe their relationship。 Loved the skating background， totally pictured Tessa and Scott （Virtue and Moir， gold medal winning， Canadian figure skaters/ice dancers） even though they are not even close to the description of the characters and are not even romantically involved。 Love when big families are included and all the fun and drama that comes with that。 This I really really love Zapata when I’m in the mood for a slow burn。 She’s great at telling stories with full characters and making you believe their relationship。 Loved the skating background， totally pictured Tessa and Scott （Virtue and Moir， gold medal winning， Canadian figure skaters/ice dancers） even though they are not even close to the description of the characters and are not even romantically involved。 Love when big families are included and all the fun and drama that comes with that。 This one had some weird language choices and perhaps minor editing issues。 I can see though， going through her backlist， how much Zapata has grown as a writer。 。。。more

Non posso dargli un 5 stelle perché il finale mi ha lasciato con troppi dubbi。 Per il resto ho amato il libro， la storia di questi due e Ivan non credo esistano uomini migliori di lui。È uno slow burn PERFETTO， si si toccano di continuo ma nessuno dice nulla e viene tutto fatto intendere。 Non so che altro dire davvero。

1。5 stars。 This book was EXHAUSTING。 I don’t know why I continue to let myself read books that booktok recommends。 Took me 3 weeks to forcefully finish it， and the incentive I gave myself was that I’ll go read all the 1 star reviews hating on it。 The 。5 star is because I appreciated how Jasmine’s dedication to figure skating and her feelings of being a failure were handled， I felt like that was raw and realistic。 Everything else… was so bland。 The two main characters had zero chemistry， their ba 1。5 stars。 This book was EXHAUSTING。 I don’t know why I continue to let myself read books that booktok recommends。 Took me 3 weeks to forcefully finish it， and the incentive I gave myself was that I’ll go read all the 1 star reviews hating on it。 The 。5 star is because I appreciated how Jasmine’s dedication to figure skating and her feelings of being a failure were handled， I felt like that was raw and realistic。 Everything else… was so bland。 The two main characters had zero chemistry， their banter did not have a single redeeming quality and was childish as hell， like if you told me these two are 26 and 29 I would not believe you。 I don’t think I’ve ever read such an unappealing romance。 I wanted to die every time he called her “Meatball”。 If you expect me to think that’s a cute romantic nickname， especially considering it’s based on him bodyshaming her for years， you’d be insane。 Not that him then switching to “baby” sounded any better。 I did not like Ivan or a single interaction these two had。 A specific moment that stood out to me as especially annoying （and idk why because I’m sure there were much more annoying instances） was when she stands dumbstruck on the road for the LONGEST time， like three pages at least， refusing to get in the car because… he owns dogs and that goes against what she thought he was like？？ Okay？？ Surprise， he has dogs， why is this so difficult to come to terms with？ This is genuinely the most un-shippable ship of all time。 As for Jasmine， while I appreciated some aspects of her character development， others were not well done。 It felt like every single problem in the world was thrown onto her。 And it felt like NOTHING was achieved in the book until forever。 Absolutely nothing was happening。 It was so drawn out， so long and boring and tiring and exhausting and it did not make me feel a single positive emotion。 Someone remind me never to finish a book I don’t enjoy again， I don’t have enough time in my life for this。 。。。more
